Business and Information Technologies Project (BIT)
International Conference 2010

“Enhancing business interaction in a globalized world:

IT at the core of business success”

Universidad Catolica de Chile’s School of Communication / School of Engineering
Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS)
Santiago de Chile, January 12th-13th 2010

In an Information Economy, such as Chile’s (almost 51% of GNP, according to BIT-Chile’s estimations), information processing through digital technologies is at the core of value creation and growth. Yet information for what, and for whom? The current Business and Information Technology (BIT) conference will concentrate distinguished experts and executives from Chile, Asia, the Americas and Europe to discuss and comment on how IT is being used by organisations to connect, inspire, motivate and/or mobilise stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, business partners, employees, or the general public, in the understanding that business processes, organisational structures, managerial scopes of control and the nature of work itself is being transformed by technological innovations.
